SUBJECT: Committee Hearing on Senate Bill 250 (Florez) --- Dogs and Cats

Because of the intense public interest in Senator Florez’s SB 250, I have set the bill for a “special order” at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15.

11:00 a.m. Senator Florez presents his SB 250.

Members are requested to hold their questions until later.

11:05 a.m. Witnesses in support speak to the Committee.

Supporters who do not speak will be asked to stand at the end.

11:15 a.m. Witnesses in opposition speak to the Committee.

Opponents who do not speak will be asked to stand at the end.

11:25 a.m. Committee members’ questions and discussion.

11:40 a.m. Senator Florez’s closing statement.

11:45 a.m. A motion on the bill will be in order, followed by the roll call.

I will not limit the number of people who speak for or against SB 250, but the witnesses must stay within the 10 minutes allotted for each side.
